Indian Foundry Markings

I have noticed that many original Indian parts, both iron and aluminum have a foundry mark of a diamond with the letter "S" in the center.
Would anybody happen to have any information on this foundry?

I can help with that! I have documented many of the original Indian vertical foundry trademark stamps, or what I believe to be trademark stampings, and I have contacted a steel research organization to do some research on company manufacturing origins.
