I have a M21, and a M344. Does anyone know what they fit. Thanks,
    Stan

As far as I'm aware the M21 fits the last of the VLs 1934-1936 and
the WLs from about 1937 to 1941.
I'm pretty sure the M344 is a late Indian Chief carb from around 1940-45 period but I'm sure an Indian man will put us right.
My 1934 VL is fitted with a M21 carb.

I'll say a 43 or 44 Military Chief (black body). Anyone else?

M344s were production for 1944 through 1948 Chiefs. Perhaps for the few '49s as well.

I have encountered "unrestored" units two ways: 'natural' or drippy black.

I have yet to find specifics on when the size of the needle knobs changed to the late small ones.
