    '46 Tank Emblems

    Exactly how are the tank emblems attached on the 1946 Chief.
    I have the correct tanks (which were repaired by the previous owner and are now primed) and emblems. Looks as if there is some sort of clip. Am I totally off base ?

    My 46' has a clip soldered to the tank and then a small screw holds the badge on to the clip. Not sure where you can get a clip, then you need to determine the exact spot to attach.

      I have the clips already on the tanks. I needed to know about the screws. Thanks !

        The emblem has a small hole on the bottom that is a match for the clip hole and a phillips screw is used. Now was it a slotted screw originally ?

          Looks as if the clips on the tank have holes at the top. Also, saw some emblems on E-bay that had holes at the top. I guess I can drill & tap mine to accept screws.
