34 chief oil pump setting

can someone recommend an setting for the oil pump screw, I have been told all the way out but not so sure?? thanks chris

The riders instruction says the screw is set at 1-1.5 turns at the factory and shouldnt be disturbed,then adds 3/4 if hot weather and thin oil,or 2 if cold and thick.
Also states oil should not return to tank with a steady stream,but intermittently with considerable air bubbles mixed with oil.
