Cam follower roller question

Hi, I am about to put new rollers on my cam follower on 47 Chief. What is the best way to get the old ones out? What method are you all using to peen the new ones?

First, Canadianbiker099,

I relieved the 'upset' on the 'axle' with a carbide spade drill. Then they pressed out easily.

The replacements can be pressed, or peened with a ball-peen, of course.

I used to grind off the excess and just drive out with drift, ,then peen with a reshaped large center punch.Last few motorsI just used Starklites bonneville replacements,,so no heel or pivot hole wear or axle hole wear.

The same size as the 'axle', Canadianbiker!

When a ring of the upset material releases, you know you have relieved it without damage to the lift itself.
