After many set backs and priorities in my life I'm finally starting to mock up my 1953 Chief basket case.
I will be running a Linkert Carb M-352 and I am trying to build the bike to be period correct. I have an early 53 four digit VIN.
So my question is what did the factory do when they were bolting on the Linkert carb with the handlebars and controls ?
I know if I was using the Amal Carb the handlebars would be different and have different controls.
Trying to maintain the left floorboard foot switch and no switch on the left side handlebar.
Or not worry about it and use 50-51 handlebars
