  • Ignition part numbers

Does anyone have part numbers for Chief dizzy caps and rotors so we may be able to cross reference and buy locally. Same for condensers and points. I can’t imagine these parts are unique.

    Lipdog,

NAPA parts numbers are as follows:
    Rotor - AL32
    Points CS709
    Condenser RR174
    Distributor cap AL143

    Hope this helps.

Here's another web page with more Indian part information, including more substitute electrical parts: http://wildriders.org/indianparts.htm

This list was created by Stan Jessup a long time ago, fortunately someone else has made it available on their website.

in a reverse of what I normally try to do, that is buy local and not Amazon, I do try to support vendors that support our hobby. They have the right parts and keeping them in business is important! Note that the NAPA rotor has a narrow contact instead of the wider, hammerhead style. The cross reference to NAPA parts is good when you need something now because you're broken down, but if you can wait then there's Greer's, Starklite, and Kiwi among others.
