The correct magneto is an Edison Splitdorf RM magneto. Here is one on Ebay, a bit pricey: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Edison-Spli...IAAOSwu4JckfvJ

in 1944 they skipped the oiing holes which are closed by the 2 hexagonal bolts on each side. So the one on ebay is an early version......

Does anyone know what would be the factory/correct magneto and ATD for a 1948 Triumph T5 Speed Twin? Many thanks.

The one on ebay, what years would it be for? My 38 is a M and has a generator. Thanks.

Thanks for the link. Regarding Triumph mags for 1948, can anyone point me to a source that lists either BTH or Lucas models and post war years? Many thanks.
