On eBay, there is a photo for sale off an all white '48 chief taken at Ted Edwards dealership in Atlanta. I would think, that this was a dealer modification. The only factory photos that I have seen had what appears as standard solid colors, except for police bikes that had two tones or odd colors such as white. The seller of the photo is "Russtygold" and I think that the photo came out of the book "Georgia motorcycle history"(?)

great photo, seems to be painted the way the factory would do it, fork links black etc.

          Howdy sir,

Actually those links and springs look chrome, with polished drivetrain and pre-48 side stand likely locally done completely custom promotional piece. In any event, here’s the Memphis Police Dept in 51 with their herd of white 47’s.
