  • 1935/1936 Indian Chief / Four and Standard Scout rear wheel offset

I justr wanted to repost my reply to that rewuest in the correct category again and add pictures:

I checked on 2 1935, 1936 Chief rear wheels I have here. On both wheels the rear hub protrudes 1 5/16" from the edge of the rim when mesured on the left side with a ruler laid over the hub.

Thanks for posting that,I will save it for future.
But note the 35 wheel pic posted by gsotti and the original post question is not shown. The 35 hub is narrower in the spool and wider across the flanges,3 3/4 instead of 3 1/4.I am not sure if 36 is same as 35 or like the 37.

Todd´s pdf shows front hubs 1937-53 if I have seen correctly. All those years had interchangeable wheels.

1935/36 had a different front and rear hub. 1931-34 rear hubs were similar to 35/36 but had 3 threaded studs and 3 alignment pins in brake drum. 35/36 had 6 threaded studs with larger thread diameter.

The original post was regarding 35/36 rear wheels.

        Sorry for my many typos!

Thanks for that link.Lots of good info, including a 338 wiring diagram which answered some questions on the terminal block.
