  • Sad Pic - CA Fire Victim

Ran across this on the AACA car forum. Was in NAPA area. Wonder would there be anything usable? Looks like pretty hot fire.

I would imagine that the sheet metal may be warped... but I'd restore it!

I agree its a shame but at the end of the day it can be fixed.

Some of the bikes that got burned when the UK National Motorcycle Museum burnt down were much worse and were fixed.

            Howdy chaps,

Pics in Santa Rosa of vehicles with alloy wheels flowing down driveways like melted candle wax, hotter in some locations than others. Among other things, with a brazed rather than welded frame I’d be cautious going forward especially if this is to be a serious rider rather than a display piece. As it looks to retain paint residue easily displaced by a voluminous cold blast from a fireman’s hose it likely cooled slowly enough not to alter the some of the metallurgy.

Man that would be a great addition to my yard art. Wish I could find it and make offer for it.
