when a regulator fails, can it cause the coil to fail also? Why I ask is when I was out cruising on a VFW post run my bike lost power. Checking I found the coil failed. Replace the coil and the bike wouldn't charge. took it to a local rebuild shop for motors etc.. They tested it and said the regulator had failed.
