  • 1553 Indian Chief Horn button 2 types

They made 2 horn buttons in 1953 for Chief, the Linkert carburetor model had a horn botton with horizontal mounting screws, the 53 with Amal carburetor had horn button with vertical mounting screws, does anyone know who reproduces the Amal handlebar horn button? I have heard that someone overseas is reproducing them, does anyone know who it is?

OOPs heading should be 1953 not 1553

    Hi,
I don't know who is reproducing the Amal handlebar horn button, but the Vertical Indian horn button is identical. The horn button is one of the few parts that interchanges between the Arrow, Scout, and Warrior - and the Chief. I'm not exactly sure if the handlebars are the same diameter (7/8" or 1") but the part numbers are the same, so the button holder is simply shaped to fit whatever bar it has to fit. I think the round button itself is identical also. One of the bigger/better Vertical Indian specialists is:
