There's one on eBay right now, maybe it fits your application?

      Tom!

FickauPrototypes@cs.com produces the diecast bowl, cover, pivot screw, pivot nut, and floatvalve.
Greer's produces the float lever, and both probably have my floats in stock.

      .....Cotten
PS: The ebay offering would fit bronze DLX Type B and C models.

I may have one. That's the die cast bowl with the stamped steel cover, right?
          PM me with your email.

            Folks,

There were two die-cast DLX bowls with covers, a long and a short one.

Tom needs the longer one with the squared extention as shown in the upper right of the first attachment.
Note that it used a different lever and floatvalve than the earlier short version at the bottom left. (And there were two varieties of those, at least.)

Can anyone tell me if Schebler actually used the Linkert-style copper bowlnut crushwasher?
If so, when did they switch from the "red fiber" variety?

            Thanks in advance,

            ....Cotten

              Hey Tom,
              Thanks for response and pics.
I have 2 dlx 108s and a dlx 128(soon to go on ebay to buy needed 35 and 38 chief parts),but none is original enough to answer the question.

While we are discussing potmetal Schebs, Folks,...

There is an painfully common problem where the threads in the casting for the high speed needle are egged from the pressure of the detente ball over decades.
The bore for the threads is often curved, and makes the needle miss the seat.
The idle needles are probably just as bad, but we cannot see the seat.

Any great ideas for a cure?

                Thanks in advance,

                  At least nobody suggested epoxy.

If I have to conjure a cure, Folks,...

TFBURKE3, I got a OEM Schebler bowl for sale that I had duel nickle plated. It's solid brass and is marked DL4. The bowl is mint as well as the threads. It's so nice that I would almost say NOS. Don't know if this is what you need but if ya do. Contact me. Bob L

                      Well Folks,..

I have an easy, if not cheap, fix for the mis-aligned needle problem.
Remember how L&L innovated a needle guide? It inspired me, but I took a novel approach.

                      It is adjustable, too.

Can the market accept another C note on an already expensive rebuild to guide both HS and LS needles to their mark?

                      ....Cotten
PS: Certainly I would post a pic, but the previous rip-offs have discouraged me.

                          Looks great at that price!

Pity I can't manage the ebay learning curve.
