    1937 Chief Compression Test

When performing a compression test, what should the minimum psi be?

More important than minimum on a compression test is consistency. If both cylinders are close... that's better than having a super high number.

Also, do a leakdown test. This tells you a lot more than a compression test. Get a leakdown tester (they aren't expensive). The leakdown test is the most important thing you can do to diagnose an engine's pistons/rings/valves/bore, etc.

    Cheers,

    Sirhr

Its a flathead. If you put your thumb over the spark plug hole and it feels like compression when you kick it over it should start
