Indian Stewart- Warner speedometer

I am looking for any info ,online ,print or advice to service a 50 chief SW speedometer.
Needle bounces 0-70 or so while just spinning front wheel.I would like to read up or see exploded internal view before I attempt to get the guts out of the can to inspect.

Have you detached the cable from the front drum and tested it? by hand or with a drill?
Sounds as though the cable or the gears are out-of-normal.

Thanks,the problem is in the speedo.
I have had corbins apart but not one of these.
