  • Looking for someone who restores Indian ammeters

    Hello fellow members,

Recently bought an original ammeter for my 1946 Indian chief on ebay. Looking for a resource to restore it for me. Already checked with Kevin Flanagan from New Jersey, unfortunately Kevin doesn't do ammeter restorations anymore.

    Regards,
    Sunny.

Sunny, did Kevin have any suggestions?

If not maybe you can talk a Harley gauge specialist or an automobile gauge specialist into making it work again. I think the technology for a Hoyt is not unique and fairly simple. On second thought, have you asked Todd at Greer's? They might do it or have a good referral.
Pisten Bully is Harry Roberts in Vermont.

West Valley Instruments... Morris Mintz. Out in California.

Great restorer. Now the only guy I trust with our instruments.

I know he restores Indian instruments because the 'guts' are the same as some Springfield Rolls-Royce instruments... and he does those brilliantly. I think these were Foxboro Company gauges. If you follow all the M&A geneaology for about 80 years... that became Analog Devices long ago.

Thanks alot for the response Pisten Bulley, spoke with both Kevin and Todd at Greers. Kevin didn't know of anyone. Todd said he will look at it but if it required a complete restoration of internals he wouldn't be able to help.

Thanks alot for the response Sirhr will give them a call tomorrow and see if they can help me out.

        Really appreciate the quick response.

        Regards,
        Sunny.
