1947 VIN on Chief

Having a hard time locating the VIN # on my 47 Chief. Where is this located? may be covered in paint.

Engine VIN and Frame VIN. These pics should clarify. 47 should be CDG prefix on the engine and 347 on the frame.....if matching of course. Pics are from a 48.

Thanks for the info and pic Jason. I looked all over for the frame VIN. Everywhere but there. The engine is a CCG that puts it at 1937 and it has an aluminum oil pump which was not till 1948. Very confusing. Thanks again for your prompt reply Jason.

Jason I just noticed the color of you bike, it looks like a color I was considering " Surf Green" Can you post a pic ?
