    Chief cyl. paint?

From what I can see in most pictures 47 Chief cylinders are supposed to be gloss black. Is that correct? What paint do you use?

I asked Bob Stark about that once and he said that he just spray paints them black. I did that with mine. I used lacquer on it years ago. Holds up fine for me. Makes a stink the first few times you start it though.

Thanks for the reply. I still wonder though about a high gloss or Satin finish to be the most correct.

I really don't know which gloss level is correct, but bought gloss black engine block paint from the auto parts store. I would think gloss black would be the correct one.
