Chief wet sumping

Recently my chief with cast iron oil pump has started wet sumping while sitting over nite not running. Any ideas? thanks

A very easy test is to take out the crankcase drain plug after a ride. If it's the plunger, oil will keep pouring out until it's empty. Air leaks at the line connections are the hard to find issue. If an air leak is present in the return side, bottom of pump to sump/scraper, it will suck air and not oil. Tighten all the fitting just in case.
