Does anyone have a idea on how to remove the lock for the fork on the Indian frames, and what can replace the lock? Thanks Stan

Normally there is just pressed inpin retaining the fork lock. Drill it out and the lock comes out. There is no exact Indian replacement. The modern HD replacement works well, can't really tell, but the lock can turn more than the quarter to half turn of the Indian lock. Looks fine in the frame. Originals are hard to find. The HD replacement also has the large frame lock pin that moves up and down to lock the fork as well as the small retaining pin. If there is anyway you can use your original, try and do so. Marty

I would assume that a key could be made... Keep us posted if you do have one made!! I would like to know for "future" reference.Jim
