  • 47 Chief Magneto Mounting?

I have a 1947 Chief that I want to mount an Edison-Splitdorf RM magneto on.
I'm looking for any advise that may be helpful!
Also what is used to seal the magneto to the case?

    motor number is CDG28XX M.jpg

The bushing has oilgroves that should keep the oil from getting out at the magneto gear if the play of the pear in the bushing is right.

I have seen modifications of the case with modern sealrings on 101s which have a similar situation on the magneto drive.

Felt-or corkwashers between magneto and the case were also used back then. I have seen different setups of these.

Be careful to correctly adjust the play of the mag gear with thin metal-plates below the magneto.
