I have the "prices good as of March 15, 1948" Indian accessory catalog and the only extensions in there are the 76104 and 76105 black iron extensions. Listed " Same as supplied with the Indian Chum-Me Seat". Keep in mind, most Chiefs didn't come with the Chum-Me seat, only Roadmasters. It was a dealer added accessory, #744003, which came in a box with the extensions and the springs. I have personally seen one of these, NOS, at Al Shirer's place near Allentown, PA years ago. He "loaned" it to a pal, who I believe still has it.
In the last page of the accessory book, they list "foot rest spools", #25B70X. These were round and had a 1 bolt mounting bracket. I've never seen these on Indians, but have seen 'em on Harleys.
The cover of the accessory book shows a couple ridding a 48 Chief, with saddlebags, Chum-Me seat and flat iron extensions.
