  • Need Flywheels identified

Hey sports fans! I have been hauling a set of Indian flywheels to various meets with the possibility of selling them. I had a couple Indian owners identify them as Chief wheels. At Wauseon I was told by another set of Indian owners that these wheels are NOT Chief. I am asking for the expert advise normally bestowed upon this forum. I don't know how to post a picture so the vital info will have to do.
Both wheels have the raised letter Z cast into them. Both have the #424024 indented into the rough cast part above the crankpin hole. C/L of shafts is 2-7/16", or 4-7/8" stroke. One single timing mark slightly ahead of centerline of shafts. Timing side is 1.167" thick. Other is 1.180" thick. OK men, have at it. Thanks in advance.....Don

I've always been under the assumption that The "Z" metal wheels were of the Chief variety.
