    hey whats the steps to titling non macthing # bike in michigan ? no motor yet thanks M.C.

    wait til you get a motor then go to the Secretary of State with a bill
    of sale. They will have the State Police run a search on that number,
    this usually takes about an hour. If there are no issues they will process you and
    of course charge you sales tax and then mail you a title.

        I got a big grin out of that one Phil.... I believe the chassis in question is of the Springfield variety.

          My Bad...I just read the post and did not notice it was in the Indian section,
          now I feel bad cause I also have a 45 and a 48 Chief and am aware the numbers are
          on the frame and motor. I'll just chalk this mental lapse up to old age and
          mis-spent youth.
