Is there a reason that you don; use the replacement foam pads? I purchased a couple a few years ago, so they were available and inexpensive (at let then).

Thanks guys . Bill , the reason I don't use the replacement pad is because I bought an NOS one from eBay , and when I opened it up it disintegrated !!

LOL - And I'm not laughing at you, I'm laughing WITH you. I've had similar experiences with synthetic and foam OEM pieces, as well as water-slide decals. You have my sympathies! I used one from Ted on my '64 CH that I installed about 4 years ago and just received one for my '70 CH.. They appear to be ok.
