Has anybody put together a guide for basic K model maintenance such as a lubrication chart that shows where all the grease zerks are located? The chart could also show other lubrication points and suggest how to lube those areas if there is no zerk. Maybe I have too much time on my hands with this COVID-19 "shelter in place" shutdown, but this seems like a good idea. Of course, the problem with good ideas is that they degenerate into a lot of hard work!

This is an old thread but I see that nobody responded to you.
I have a 1956 KHK. It is my understanding that Harley never published a service manual for the K bikes. If you can get a hold of an owners manual, it describes some basic maintenance requirements such as oil change, lubrication, timing settings, .... Some maintenance procedures vary by model year, so, try to get a manual that is specific to your year. I bought my bike 5 or so years ago and it came with an original owners manual that is ready to fall apart. If you can find a repop out there someplace you should get one along with a factory parts manual. Parts vary by year and model.
You should consider joining the Harley K model forum. www.harleykmodel.com. Lots of folks on that forum that are more than willing and able to help.

Thank you. In the '60s, I used a Sportster manual from Clymer.George Tinkham
