I have another set of cases (1967) that have a bad repair around a blown out trans sprocket area, and I have been told that someone has made a repair piece that can welded in place of this section. I've lurked on eBay and haven't seen one for sale. Anyone know who makes this case repair kit.

Road racing is a long jump from my drag racing past, but I am looking forward to giving it a good shake.
I sure am enjoying the parts purchasing of this road racer, but my bank account is feeling a bit violated.
The era of this class is: machines manufactured prior to 30 December 1962.
Here is some footage of a friends “highly modified” 1962 xlr Sporty racing in Period 3 Classic series at Phillip island a few weeks ago.
The rider’s talent should also be noted.
This bike is monstrously powerful, but somewhat erratic in reliability. This was a good day.

For those that appreciate rare art.
Genuine xlr rods and NOS crank pin on the left. These are going in the xlr restoration. Still needing cages and rollers for these. Anyone??? Private message is good.
Carrello rods on the right for the race engine. These should stand up to the abuse.

Late 60,s XLR engines are rarer than the early 60's. Here's a super rare 1968 engine.
