KHK Exhaust

Where can I find the required back-pressure for my '55 KHK motor? I want to put shorty pipes on the bike, but the mechanic rebuilding the motor said we have to figure out the back-pressure required before putting custom exhaust pipes on the bike.

Any help would be appreciated!

Oh come on! Just slap on the new pipes and adjust the carb until the spark plugs look good. Realize that the new carb setting will be a bit richer than before.
