Is power coating the frame and other parts on a restoration all right or will you loose points.

The club allows powder coating. I don't know why. It stands out and looks different than paint. No points will be deducted but it may be mentioned on the judging sheet.Be sure to visit;

I had my pan frame originally powdercoated until I saw the errors of my way. Spent more money having it removed and then had it painted black, Got the paint from Color Write. Powdercoat obscures most the frame markings because it goes on so thick. If it chips it is not as though you can fill it in with more powdercoat. If the bike is a cone motor you will have a heck of a time with the federal sticker and vin numbers that are on the down tubes of the frame.
