Oil pump finish

Hey guys...
Motor is torn down, case is split and I'm ready to soda blast the case. But what kind of finish is the stock water pump? is it cast iron? and if so, is it just blasted or some other kind of finish applied? (for accurate restoration)

Steve, The oil pump is cast iron with silver paint. Put the water pump back on the car.

Kyle!! Too funny... I also had the water pump out of an old corvette...fighting an antifreeze leak...guess where my brain was!
