1969 Speedometer color

Good morning,
I was under the impression the correct color scheme for a 69 big twin was silver and black. Recently, I’ve come across two different bikes with the exact speedo except they have gold and black faces. Can anyone shed any light on this? Did the factory use different suppliers? Does the different color face signify anything? Thanks in advance! IMG_3729.jpeg

The 'sunburst" speedo faces all turn to the gold color with time. The speedos were supplied by Stewart Warner and were all Silver when new.
