I began the process of rewiring my 69 Electra-Glide a few weeks ago.
Short history: I bought the scooter as a partial restoration. Ha ha. Yah, not so much a restoration as, 'whatever it takes to get running so it can be sold.'
I discovered this restoration was seriously goobered-up. It is missing both terminal plates and is completely rewired with black electrical wire. There is only a single run of the original wiring to runs down the left side tube to the neutral switch and, well to somewhere else I haven't traced yet.
The aftermarket "OEM style" harness arrived and began the task of labeling the lengths according to number and colors of wires in each of the conduits, along with their lengths. The latter assuming I was guessing correctly on how much is needed for each run.
I'm particularly interested in how exactly the cycles were wired at the factory. Following the runs as closely as possible would ensure I get right, or as correct as possible the first time around.
So any pics of OEM wire runs under the tank would be awesomely helpful!
Thanks!
