1969 FLH Mirrors

Should my stock 69 FLH have round or rectangle mirrors?

This is a hotly debate topic, OK maybe not that hotly. For my 1970 I was told it was the transition year and Round or Rectangular would be correct. So based on that research, I would think 1969 should be round. I have seen pictures of 1970 bikes with both, that said round was harder to find so I scored some rectangular mirrors and installed. Good luck.
