1968 FLH Mirrors

Which mirrors would be on a 68, round #91877-66A or square #91879-67B? Maybe my numbers are not correct, I don't know. All(I think) I've found out is the stems will have HD on them and a black gasket around mirror. Where mirrors an accessory and that is why the different part numbers? Or is the round one a 66 year only? Just trying to learn and know what to look for at the swaps or repop if I have to. Thanks

Maybe? Isn't that stem used with a seperate handlebar clamp? The aftermarket mirrors I have now are mounted to lever handlebar clamp. From many pictures I have seen that is the way it should be?

A 68 would have had round mirrors mounted to the hand lever brackets.
