Oil Tank without dipstick

I have a shovelhead oil tank without a dipstick, just wondering what year is it correct to use on. I would assume it must be early as my '70 and '74 have dipsticks. As hard as it is to imagine, at sometime their might be a need for a Palmer book '65 - '85.

You mean that there is no side dipstick, it is in the filler cap. The tank would be for a 65-69 bike.

Yes it has no side dipstick,I didn't look in the cap. I'll take a look at it today. Thanks a million.
