Fully enclosed chain gaurd

Does anyone have any feedback on fully enclosed chain gaurd.i have a 68 flh bought it with the chain gaurd off it came with a harley accessaries fully enclosed gaurd looks cool needs a tab welded on and looks like I might have to take apart some surrounding parts to put it on I don't see too many being used are they troublesome anything I need to worry about or do they work just fine thanks

While it does help keep a large amount of dirt from getting on the chain, it is a pain in the butt checking and adjusting chain slack.
