  • Having trouble with pogo post for 66

Still playing and rearranging my new old 1966 FLH. Being very short in the leg department when I got this bike for my birthday last year I put a fit to frame seat on her. I have since decided to try the pogo seat as I think it would be a better ride (and look better) I had just taken the pogo seat post and two up seat and stored it away in the garage when I did this. I started to take the seat post apart when I ran into the second guide collar being totally stuck. I can not get it off to finish cleaning it up and inspecting it before putting back together. So is there away to do so without damaging the seat post rod?

I have soaked it in mineral sprits trying to loosen up the built up gunk, cleaned it and still it does not move. I do not know if it is welded but it sure fells that away. Can this be heated up and maybe taped off? Or will this damage the seat post rod?
    Thanks in advance Gina
