I am a new member in the last year and have I have a question that I hope someone can help me with. I have a unrestored 67 FLH and I am looking at a 59 frame to start a new project. I have been researching on the internet ( we all know if you read it on the internet it has to be true) how to identify frames by the casting numbers. Based on what I found the casting number on my 67' frame would indicate that it is a 58' to 64' frame. Can anyone tell me what casting numbers go with what frame? I have a casting number 47653-58 on the back right down leg on my frame and a very small cap. letter and 4 small numbers on the left side of the neck (hard to see). Thanks for you help.

The numbers on the left side of your neck were used 1962-1969. The 1958-1964 frame looks different than the 1965-1969 as if doesn't have the clearence for the Electra-Glide oil tank and battery. There should be a letter and a number stamped on the top motor mount that will nail the month and year of build.
There will be a complete chart on frame casting numbers in the new Palmer book.
