1950 panhead rocker covers question

I have the polished stainless rocker covers for my 1950 pan, the question is did a d ring go on the factory 1950 if so was it the thick or thin and what screws or bolts went with it

The originals were electro-polished. Not polished with a wheel and compound. There were no "D" rings and Phillips head screws held them down.

what is electro polishing and who does it now a days and how do I do that to look original ? and I assume that would apply for the front fork lowers and brake backing plate for the 1950 pan Delux Solo group options

You will have to let your fingers do the walking to find a plating shop that does electro polishing in your hood. The front brake backing plate is bare die cast aluminum and was not electro polished or polished.

reading palmers book it said front backing plate on the delux was polished for a 50 pan
