Metal Leg Sheilds Questions

Hey folks, looking for the word on the metal leg shields that were sold for years. I see them all the way into my 1970 accessories catalog.

I see them listed for WL and OHV in 1966 pg 11 for example:

LEGSHIELDS TO KEEP YOU WARM ALL WINTER

58500-37 OHV
58501-38 WL and Servicar

What OHV years were they able to be used on? Has anyone ever used or seen them mounted on late Pans say 60-65?

Anyone have a photo of them mounted on a 65?

Or did everyone just use the splash shields that slipped over the crash bars?

Hi Ray, If you decide to mount a set on, and don't have a set, I have a N.O.S. set with mounting hardware in excellent condition. I'm sure someone can point you in the right direction on the years of application. Good Luck.
