Bubble bags.

Hello to all.New to forum and would like to thank everyone in advance.I would like to know the years Harley offered the Royalite or bubble bags.

They were first offered on the K model in 1952. They became available for the Big Twins in 1954. They were still listed in the 1965 Accessory Catalogue but are not in the 1969. I am too lazy to go out to the shop and dig out the 1966-1968 catalogues tonite.

What year are you planning bags for? The trim designs changed several times throughout their run, it is best to have the right ones.

Recently saw '62 FL with newer style square bags.Maybe a better question is was there overlap between the two styles?
Could that year have newer style?

The square style bags came out in '63. No '62 should have them! The '63 bags are different than later square bags in their method of construction. The bubble bags continued as an option for several years overlapping the square.
