  • 1963 Panhead production numbers

Hi, I just purchased a 1963 FLH and would like to know how many bikes were made that year. I know it was a low production year, but I don't know how many FL's or FLH's they made. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

the FLF and FLHF are foot shift, the FL and FLH are tank shift. Lotta folks seem to consider the FLH tank shift bikes to be so rare since only 100 are listed as produced per "The Legend Begins". However, it is so easy to switch tanks from one to the other for the two-year span of '63-'64 that unless there is clear provenance or perhaps original paint to back up the claim, take the authenticity of a tank shift FLH with a big grain of salt.
