  • Panhead points and condenser

    Could someone please tell me where to get a set of points and condenser for an old Panhead, 1951, hopefully made in the USA. I don't want to sound to anal but the bike has no foreign or aftermarket parts yet and I what to keep it that way as long as possible. Thanks in advance Barry

        Tim,
        {you can still buy them at the HD Dealer}

        Have you checked to see where those were made?

          points and condensor

          They (NOS ones) pop up on ebay all the time. I still stick with them as I know what and how to fix the problem on the side of the road if I need to. Always carry a set along with plugs. Easy Russ or Harbor Vintage as well as others usually have them on there from time to time.

            I admire you for trying to keep it all USA, but…. If it’s a rider than sooner or later some out sourced parts are going to find their way onto your bike. No way around it for a true rider. Be happy its just points and not something like a fender.

                Thanks alot everyone, I'll try Napa and also get a hold of Easy Russ. I found enough USA Champion plugs on Craigs list to last for years. It is a rider that is why I'm trying to stock up on parts I know I will need from time to time.
