What finish is the seat post?

    Hey guys,

Was the upper portion of the seat post (66FL) finished in cad, zinc, raw metal, other?

    Thanks!

      Will zinc hold up?

Now that cad is scarce as hen's teeth, will zinc hold up against the up/down action of the post? What'dya think?

Mine is zinc plated instead of cad (sent it to a place that said they did cad) and I don't see any reason why it would not hold up as good as cad, still a plating process. It is shinnier and yellower than cad. You can still find places that do cad.

I don’t think you need to worry if Zink is less durable than cad.The cad will rub off the first time you ride the bike.
