Time for my the mind bending question of the week. Just got a set of triple trees in that I want to use on my 60 pan. They have the casting bosses for the 58 and down headlight bracket but if you looking right at them only the right side is drilled and tapped. I compared these to a later lower that doesn’t have the bosses yet there’s a hole drilled and tapped in the same place. What could have possibly bolted up to this? Man you could write a small book just on triple trees and what every hole is for and when. Bob L

Interesting question Bob. I just went and checked some of the trees that I have and here is what I found. My 58 up Servi-Car tree has just one tapped, my 62 FL has both tapped, my AMF adjustable tree has just one tapped and my 78 FLH has both tapped.

What the important thing to look for is the location of the fork stem. Swing arm forks have an oval shaped boss the stem mounts in and rigid frames have a round boss.
