Anyone ever fixed a brake tube like that? Any advise on the best method would be appriciated.

        *Note:
I didn't see any other markings on the neck anywhere.

The frame's down tubes are flattened for the frame horn blocks, but there are no blocks.

          Hi Faust.
The brake cross over tube is an easy fix.
I might just know where you can get one of those exact tubes with grease nipple hole drilled and tapped with a bush fitted and sized to OEM and knurled on one end.
I also know where you can get the support set for these as well. Best we chat about that off the board though.

For most people the line boring of the 2 bushes out of thier league. But you may have the tools.
It will be good for the records when another one of these frames turn up with a correct VIN and "known history"

Happened to look into the Spring 2009 AMCA Magazine and there is a 1952 Police FL, the all-white one. It also has the later camcover, which probably has been accepted as correct when the motorcycle has been judged and finally entered the Winners Circle. It also has the same oiltank, radio generator and Delco-Remy relay mine used to have. In the old picture with the present owner's dad on it, you can see that it did have the cover back then.
I wonder if it has a serial in the 56xx range?

Thanks, it is 400 units younger than mine, but close anyway.

I was under the impression that the sequential numbers in the VIN included other models, so that a gap of 400 units might mean that the two 52FLs could actually be closer to each other in the production of FLs?

They were run in families, 45"ers, big flatties, OHV's and later on XL's. So in this case the only other bikes in the sequence were the EL models.

Don't know how I missed this, since we were even talking about this machine. Guess every one was looking for a late 51 - early 52. Spied it this morning while looking for a pic of something else. This is 52FL52XX.
