does anyone know of a good way to chase the threads on oil tank nipples i have a leak on the return line on my 50 fl. and i also need info on correct way to flare the return line thanks

If the threads are good enough that the nut gets tight, they would not be the cause of your leak. If not, they are most likely beyond restoring and a new nipple or another tank would be in order. To flare the line you need a tube flaring set, available from your favorite automotive tool supplier or refrigeration supplier. If the nipple is the culprit it is most likely the bevel that the flare seats to is bunged. If it's not to bad and you got a good eye and a steady hand you might dress it up with a file so it will stop leaking.

Be sure to use double flares.

If its the nipple face that damaged, you can get dead soft aluminum fitting repair inserts for leaky aircraft flared fittings, they fit right over the nipple before the line gets installed they have 37 degree face. or maybe you could make something of your own.
