  • 65 FLH Primary Chain Tensioners

Has anyone had experience with either the "M6" or "Hydraulic" primary chain tensioners? They are both about the same price.
    Thanks,
    Gary

Well since you asked "either" -"or", I can say I have the M6 in my Evo, and it's one of the best upgrades I ever did. I don't think the mechanics inside the primary chaincase has changed much from 1965 to the mid-'90s, so it should give you the same effect in the '65.
I have a friend who gets all the latest prototype products from Hayden to use on a trial basis, kind of a 'working R&D' arrangement between friends. He tells me the Hydraulic tensioner (the "125") is not near as effective. But these things can be subjective, I am neither endorsing nor debunking either product.
