  • P/N 56128-50 Vs. 56129-50 question...

Hi, Does anybody knows what is the difference between the two part numbers? It is supposed to be a top tree for an adjuijustable rake fork. Parts book does not recognize the 56128-50, only the 56129-50... I wonder what the !#@$%^ is the difference????

    Help anyone?
    Thanks,
    Ran

Hi Chris, I have the part right in front of me.... I notices the three little holes in the back of the stem holes are located to the side (??) I have pictures, but I do not know how to insert them..

Are you looking at a number on the part? If so that is NOT the part number for the item as listed in the parts books. It is a number assigned when the part was designed and is in the casting mold. The three small holes by the stem are alternate positions for the bottom locking plate for the steering damper to allow it to lock the upper head cone adjusting collar in place when one of the notches lines up below one of the holes. It may need slight adjustment one way or the other to line up.
